Cal. 8x57 (8mm Mauser). S# 7032cc. Bbl. 23 1/2". Standard K98k sights with hooded front. All visible matching numbers. byf 41 coded receiver. Most parts have "655" inspection stamps except for follower which has a "140" inpsection stamp. Blued finish. Walnut stock set with left side sling provisions & leather sling. Right side of butt has strong "655" inspection & "(Eagle)/H" Heer marking. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock has arsenal type oil finish with some dings behind upper tang from bolt disassembly, a couple light gouges, some dings, light scratches & handling marks. Metal retains 30% original blue with overall fading to gray, some scattered pitting & heavy oxidation patches more notable on front end, further scattered lighter oxidation & edge wear. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore shows some oxidation & pitting patches near muzzle but has strong rifling. (26-2071/MJC). CURIO. $1200-1800.
